Philip Jacoby

Philip Jacoby is the founder and president of Jacoby Polymer Consulting, established in 2014. With over 45 years of experience in the polymer and plastics industry, Dr. Jacoby is a recognized expert in polypropylene technology. His career highlights include 38 years in leading roles at BP Amoco and Mayzo, Inc., where he spearheaded significant advancements, including the development of patented Beta Nucleation technology. Holding 13 U.S. and several international patents, Dr. Jacoby has contributed extensively to innovations in breathable films, automotive applications, and sustainable packaging. 

 
Dr. Jacoby earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin and his B.S. in Chemistry from the City College of New York. He is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and has received multiple awards for his contributions, including the Innovators Award from Amoco Chemical Company. Today, Dr. Jacoby offers technical consulting, product development, and training to clients worldwide, focusing on solving technical challenges and improving product performance.
